A few days ago I posted a YouTube link to a circa 1980 LEGO Train (or as AFOL communities call it, LEGO Trains) commercial. Reading lips, the actors seem to speak Danish or maybe German, but the audio was in English.
Here is the Finnish version I stumbled across. The texts are a bit different and a single adult speaker does it all. The “lunch” card was apparently filmed in many languages. The English card wrote “Lunch is ready”, the Finnish one translates to “Now come eat”.
There are a few other differences too: the commercial is a bit shorter (e.g. no cat) and the last point of view shot from the locomotive is not surrounded my black round frames like in the English version. This time the description states the commercial is from the year 1983, although the copyright at the end again says 1980.
