I had the opportunity to visit LEGOLAND Billund in Denmark – the original LEGOLAND next to the birthplace and home of LEGO – for the fourth time this summer (see here, here and here for arrival stories). Repeating last summer’s visit was a blast and I look forward to sharing some experiences over future posts. In the meanwhile, here are a few new photos around the park.

[…] One thing that separates ordinary toy stores from LEGO Shops (or the Japanese Click Brick franchise), is the amount of LEGO accessories and apparel. While well-stocked toy stores may feature an excellent selection of LEGO sets, my experience is they usually have less in terms of LEGO accessories and apparel. One of the absolute best places to shop for LEGO accessories is LEGO Shop Billund (opposite to a LEGO apparel store) at LEGOLAND Billund. […]

[…] Return to LEGOLAND in Billund, Denmark: Alongside Miniland and LEGOREDO, one of the older attractions in LEGOLAND Billund is the (Toyota) Driving School. This has been the place for several generations to drive their first “driver’s license”. Basically the driving school is a rectangular area filled with life-like (albeit smaller) roads, traffic signs, crossroads, traffic lights and a traffic circle, on which single seater electric vehicles (with stud decorations) are driven by children. There is even a mock gasoline station and a carwash the drivers can – and do like to – visit. […]

[…] Return to LEGOLAND in Billund, Denmark: I have previously covered the brand-new Legends of Chima Miniland in LEGOLAND Billund and last year’s (2012) regular Miniland experience. As I’m wrapping up the 2013 LEGOLAND Billund visit, I think a suitable send-off for the topic is a fresh look at the Miniland. In addition to the gallery below, don’t forget to check out how Miniland looks from way up high, from the LEGOTOP tower… […]
