Unlike many megacorporations, LEGO’s corporate presence on this planet is fairly modest – at least as far as its headquarters in Billund, Denmark are concerned. Let’s continue my Road trip Billund with a quick spin around the LEGO hood…
Main Street, Billund:
Other than having built their own airport, which I guess is suitably megalomaniac (it has been long since opened for other users as well), there are no towers of power or UFO inspired office monuments of concrete and glass where LEGO lives – well, outside the amusement park anyway. In fact, their headquarters are a single story building on a quiet residential street next to some grandmas pelargoniums.
The home of the world’s most valuable toy company – LEGO System A/S headquarters are located on Systemvej, “System Way”:
LEGO Innovation House, the new extension to the LEGO product marketing and development building near Ole Kirksvej, “Ole Kirk’s Way” (after LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen):

Billund is also the home of the main LEGO factory and, of course, the original LEGOLAND. For an aerial look at Billund, Nokia HERE Maps has great data (Google is antiquated there):

P.S. The peace and quiet is about to be disturbed a little, though. By 2016, there will be a new LEGO House on the block.
