Greetings, readers! I am planning a series of (sporadic) updates over the summer to liven up the blog after a sparse spring. Let’s start off with a couple of posts from my recent trip to the rainy London, United Kingdom. First off, Hamleys. As many of you probably know, their flagship store in London is the largest toy store in the world. Or so Wikipedia claims.

Traditionally I remember Hamleys housing LEGO on their basement level, but now it seems they have split off LEGO according to age (and controversially gender – looking at you Friends). The main selection of LEGO, though, is now on the top floor and still comprehensive as ever. What’s more, there were fabulous LEGO statues of the royal family. Here’s two snapshots of them.

Notable mention goes to the LEGO Architecture set 21013 Big Ben, which we bought as a souvenir.
